1. Beverly Council on Aging
The Beverly Council on Aging is located at 90 Colon Street in beautiful Beverly, Massachusetts. The senior center is the gray building on the corner of Heather and Colon Street. Parking is available in both the front and back of the building. The Center is open to all seniors, 60 and older, even those of neighboring towns. There is no membership fee to join, simply come in, and fill out a registration form. There is something for everyone at the senior center.

8. North Shore Harbormasters Association (NSHA)
Harbormasters are municipal guardians of the waterfront, with duties ranging from Harbor Planning & Management, Mooring & Dockage Management, Education of the Public Regarding Safe & Legal Boating, Law Enforcement (of Statutes and Regulations involving the boating community), and Emergency & Search and Rescue operations. In such a wide range of duties, they must work closely with other departments in their community, as well as the Massachusetts Environmental Police and the United States Coast Guard. The North Shore Harbormasters Association (NSHA) is an affiliation of the Harbormaster Departments on the North Shore of Eastern Massachusetts, from the Boston area, north to the New Hampshire border.

Fish Box Derby

September 7, 2008 in Gloucester. The Fish Box Derby Race is a family event that is held in early September. This was established by a non-profit organization - Fish Box Derby, Inc. whose purpose it is to provide the local youth with the opportunity to build and strengthen family relations. Boys and Girls from ages eight to fourteen are eligible to enter (there are no fees to enter). The young people work side by side with their parents, grandparents, guardians or neighbors to build their own car and participate in the race. The cars reflect each individual style and mechanical abilities.
