Boon was founded with the purpose of giving residents and visitors of Boston's North Shore access to some of the best and most interesting contemporary artwork from around the world.
The focus of our portfolio is contemporary work from living artists. Within those parameters we deal with emerging, mid-career, and established artists from around the world. Our concept is simply to seek out the most interesting work we can find, regardless of medium or discipline, and bring it to Boston’s Northshore.
Kensington-Stobart Gallery is located at the Historic Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, Massachusetts, one block from the Peabody Essex Museum. We feature oil paintings, and a wide selection of limited edition prints, by preeminent maritime artist John Stobart.
We also carry works by Thomas Hoyne, Richard Loud, Paul Garnet and other well known Maritime artists.
Works by local artists Wendy Snow-Lang, Vincent Crotty, Charles Lang and Salem photographer Bill Kelley are also on view.
The Picklepot Gallery is located in downtown Salem, in the heart of the old town, popular with visitors and residents alike. In addition to fine art and contemporary photography, paintings, and sculpture, The Picklepot represents more than 50 New England craft artists

The Fish
Box Derby Race is a family event that is held in early September. This
was established by a non-profit organization - Fish Box Derby, Inc.
whose purpose it is to provide the local youth with the opportunity to
build and strengthen family relations. Boys and Girls from ages eight to
fourteen are eligible to enter (there are no fees to enter). The young
people work side by side with their parents, grandparents, guardians or
neighbors to build their own car and participate in the race. The cars
reflect each individual style and mechanical abilities.
