2. Danvers Art Association
We are a group of artists and craftspeople who have been formally established since 1965. Originally called The Studio Group, we painted at the old Putnamville School until we grew in numbers to now over 200 members and changed our name to the Danvers Art Association. We have been exhibiting paintings at the Peabody Institute Library, Danvers and at the Maple Street Congregational Church, because we have not had a permanent home for years.

3. Local Colors
Local Colors began in the fall of 1989 as a group of local artists who rented a small retail space in Gloucester for the holidays. Those initial couple of months stretched into a few more and eventually that small group of artists decided to make it official. Bylaws were drafted, and Local Colors was born. Local Colors has flourished for almost 15 years making it Cape Ann's oldest Artists' Cooperative.

In 1948, Sam Sargent, Laura Coombs Hills and a group of regional artists dedicated to promoting the arts while encouraging emerging artists founded the Newburyport Art Association. Today, incorporated as a nonprofit organization, the NAA maintains its rich history and integrity by serving artists and friends of the visual arts from Boston to southern Maine. Membership is open to all levels of artists throughout the region, and the NAA welcomes everyone to join with the over 400 members of NAA.
